MRP System
- Resolve all operation problems that may occur and investigate user reports
- Use the provided system monitor tool to prevent any problems that may occur from
usage limitation such as file’s size, number of concurrence, etc.
- Generate the Query Report as requested by the users through authorized channels
- Maintain the configuration area for any requested modifications, including adding new users, changing user access rights, etc
- Study our current system to improve architecture, operation procedures, etc with a focus on efficiency and ease of usage.
- Assist users and liason with the supplier in order to solve any pending problems
which cannot be resolved in-house.
- Arrange any necessary staff training
- Look for any new product or solution that may improve our system, and draft a proposal to management.
PC and Network
- Handle all Hardware and software problems
- Implement the maintenance schedule, to ensure that our hardware will always be in good working condition
- Uphold the standards of our installed software and maintain the license in accordance with the company regulation and law
- Arrange training upon request and educate our staff by arranging the training at least once a year for any main common software such as Excel, MS Word etc.
- Maintain our network hardware and monitor for any problems that may occur
Internet
- Maintain our Email Server to ensure it is always has in good working condition
- Internet Gateway is very important as Email Server also rely on this system. RIDP must
ensure it is alway up and running
- Must schedule for regular maintenance for all of our PC Servers to ensure that we have a
proper maintain procedure
- Maintains the company homepage.
Programming
- Uses RPG as a main computer language on AS/400
- Maintains the old, Cobol- coded program.
- For PC we can use VB, Access or etc.
Administrator and General
- Prepares Emergency plans for all necessary areas, such as AS/400, all PC Servers, Internet Configuration, Mailbox, etc
- Composes the IT manuals to educate a new DP and make it
easier to understand the current setup or how to install particular system.
- Educates and trains assistants on the system
